Typically 80's makeup was garish with loads of candy-bright eyeshadows and frosted lipsticks but this is not the case with this film. It is all about defined eyes and eyebrows and red lips with pale skin. I think for our shoot, the models makeup should be trashy and sexy. Her eyes should look as though she's slept in her makeup the night before and just topped up with eyeliner. In the film, it was Madonna ('Susan') who done her own hair & makeup as well as supplying her own wardrobe therefore injecting confidence into the character. Lips are bright red and eyebrows are penciled in and prominent.
