Editorial Shoots

After today's successful shoot I was feeling very inspired and decided to research into magazines that would suit our final images. We had previously spoken about which publication would be suitable this but we didn't go into great detail or make a final decision on which one. I looked at a selection of my favourite magazines - Dazed & Confused, Vogue, Elle and i-D.

Here's some examples of the style of photo-shoots published in these mags....

Dazed & Confused

i-D

Elle

Vogue

I think it's interesting to note the different ways in which the images are laid out and the use of space across the pages. There are some images that completely cover a double spread and then there are some which are placed more centered leaving a white border

NIGHT OUT!!

Just after talking to must of us in the group I wanted to say that we should all go out toogether and have a so called "desperately seeking susan" night out. This night should be about all of us, the team, dressing like a susan in our very own way. That night, I want someone to take some shots of all five of us. This Image should then be one of our 5 images. WHY? Because I think we should make these images as different and interesting as possible and also show how much work we all have been putting in this project.  Also it gives our hole idea and project an original touch.

poses we could be doing!
we need to be a bit crazy.
US but off course as girls. But this would be great as a pose for all.
WHAT SHOULD WE BE WEARING?
at least smth of susans outfit.
a realxed shot of all of us !!

And the HAIR  has to look crazy in any shot we r doing!

FRANCESCA

Strike a pose!

Just a couple more pose ideas ready for the shoot on Tuesday. The look we're aiming for is a laid back and relaxed feel so these poses are ideal ...

Fashion Photography...

Hi…I have been looking into fashion photography, both established and up coming photographers…

<<<<<

photographer Claudio Todaro...I

like this photo because the

"behind scenes" equipment is in the

photograph...which completely

defeats the concept.

These photos were taken by Trevor Brady another up and coming photographer. I like his use of light in the 1st photo...most of the picture is dark just a fraction of it has light on certain areas of here face...I love the angle of which the 2nd photo was taken from...the background has a hint of blur she the model becomes the main focus (GREAT IDEA)...

Javier Vallhonrat His use of color and light is extraordinary. I believe he captures sensuality like no other. His use of the environment with the model is timeless.

Solve Sundsbo The way he captures movement and emotion mixed with the garments on the models is insane! I’ve recently discovered this photographer and enjoy researching his work.

Vincent Peters I love the raw sensuality of his work. He seems to pull very real erotic qualities from the models.

And a personal FAVOURITE of mine who work i have followed for a while now is...

Ellen Von Unwerth Her ability to capture erotic but fashionable scenarios is without question. She has complete control of her shoots and one can tell that her models enjoy working with her, probably because she herself is one sexy woman as so do I…LOOOOOL…!

Defiantly thinks her photography style should be used for our shoot...
