Today me, Francesca and Maria went to see our photographer Dave to show him our location and discuss the style of the shoot. We showed him the mood boards Maria created and our blog. Once he saw these, he said that we have the potential for some really good shots. Of course, this really increased our excitement for the shoot once we knew Dave was on board.
Next we're going to try and meet Monday morning to finalise everything ready for our shoot on Tuesday.
I looked at some information about some famous designers in the 80s and Stephen Sprouse was the one that impressed me the most. He took New York City street fashion, mixed it with a smart pop sensibility, and created some seriously fierce thread. Just watch this Video and You will see and feel the carefree crazy 80s.
The elements of the 80s were Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” period, Rubic’s cube, Max Headroom, Ray-Ban sunglasses, tv shows like “Alf,” “Miami Vice,” “Dynasty” … There’s always a tongue-in-cheek element to it.
IT was also all about natural poses and extreme art that was never tested to such an extent.
model is Michaela and the top is very representative: big jewels on a big cross splashed across a buxom chest. The acid-washed jeans - ehn. But they still don't spoil the shot.
So when we meet up today to give dave the mood boards...we should discuss what time we are going to meet up in Preston on Tuesday d do our models hair and makeup or anything else...so that when we arrive at the venue there wont be much left to do other then a little re-touching and the shoot.
Just letting everyone know that I have completed, the mood board to present to dave. I have also finished to board of the location in manchester. I have also started looking at makeup options for the photo shoot here are the youtube links...
